Born in Britain Fran studied at the Central School of Speech and Drama in London where she also met Ben Browder with whom she fell "madly in love with within 24 hours". They married in 1989. Both could be seen together on stage in the production of "The Merchant of Venice" alongside Dustin Hoffman on Broadway.

Fran has a strong theater career behind her playing in Hamlet and Merchant of Venice among others. Besides her several characters on Farscape her most prominent film role would be "Minni" in Chaplin.

Fran attended several Farscape and scifi conventions where she turned out to be a fan favourite and charmed everyone with her sweet and funny ways and is currently filming new episodes of Farscape in Australia where she is a regular gueststar next to her husband.
